Twilight. . .

(Twilight. . .)

The term is denouement. A general resolution of events that mean a new chapter has been turned. The Israeli-Hamas War could be concluding, hundreds of terror fighters are coming to the realization that the Path to Paradice in the service to Allah has become a more problematic proposition. In any event, and despite Hamas' threat to dispose of the remaining hostages, Israeli Prime Minster Netanyahu, has said that the terminal operational phase has been reached and the tactical, if not the strategic, objective of destroying Hamas, is realized.

The other instance of something also concluding but decidedly without resolution would be the COP 32 climate conference in Dubai. The irony of holding this summit in an Emerite, a nation that built, and is still building its fortune on oil, would hold this gathering where a portion of its delegates want the elimination of oil and all fossil fuels. Climate alarmists, like Tsar Kerry are extremists and were disappointed that the final communiqué did not mention the end to fossil fuels. As the Emir himself had put it, such a drastic action "would put people back in caves." Climate action can either be theoretical or it can be practical. Losing all traditional energy sources like coal and oil, as Kerry's desires. could have the effect of a return a more neo-lithic. Not Tsar Kerry would need to worry.

But his boss might. This could be the Twilight of the Biden Administration. With son Hunter facing federal charges and President Biden himself set to be impeached. Articles to be submitted possibly next Spring. It has been suggested that allowing an impeachment in the House and then a conviction out of the Senate, and that solves the Joe Biden problem without blowing up the Party in the process.

Donald Trump is becoming a problem. His election in 2016 was one of the most significant events in American political history. That being said, his possible re-election will surpass even that. Again, it might be folly to be making prognostications a year out from Election Day. But the former President was a long-shot against President Biden until recently. Trump was trailing in state polls, he was facing indictments and numerous trials and his prevailing in that environment seemed un-likely.

But, here things stand. Trump is up ten in Michigan and five in Georgia. He lost both three years ago. But Trump has re-gained ground and is displaying a strength not seen until recently.

Then again, this could all be folly. . .
