This new armor contingent is being sent into an active theater and might at some point be in combat, against Russian T-72's, or whatever the Russians might be fielding these days (in the 1991 Gulf War, over a thousand Iraqi T-72's were destroyed by M1A1's against no combat losses). So, now in 2023, these tanks with its 120mm main gun with depleted uranium rounds that has a tendency to open any other tank like a piece of Swiss cheese. President Biden has no strategy for how these Abrams ' will be used with no clear objective, The addition of these armored vehicles are too few to alter the situation on the ground and beyond that, is another escalation which President Putin has noted.
