Remember that on some years, the NBA Finals went to the same teams ? How many years did the Johnson Lakers face the Bird Celtics in the 1980's ? Six championships with the Jordan Bulls seems excessive. Three with the O'Neal Lakers, three with the Duncan Spurs and so on. Watching the basketball with these constant repeat offenders, play-offs and Finals could get monotonous.


Like repeating NBA teams, so the Presidential contestants from 2020 seem to be repeating for 2024. That does not mean that President Biden and former President Trump have any new talent but they are the two most viable candidates for the Oval Office to emerge. Remaining Republican challengers to Trump still trail and any challengers to President Biden have yet to materialize, if the DNC allows a "Fellow Traveler."


You know that the Battle of the Coral Sea was the first navel engagement between the American and Japanese forces never sighted each other. That could also be the case for the 2024 Contest where President Biden would be un-able to face Trump. But Biden in 2020 now has a record for 2024 and Trump his own in the four years previously. But for President Biden, crime, energy, and immigration, not to mention all his foreign policy mis-haps for starters.


Biden was put into Office because an anti-Trump was needed. The former President had failed in handling covid properly and a chance was taken on President Biden. There was external "encouragement" to be sure but President Biden, supposedly garnered over eight million votes, just a few thousand more than President Trump.


What will be the count this time ? At the moment, Trump is ahead and Biden trailing but pols at this stage are all but meaningless. More impactful is the 9 count indictment against Hunter Biden and an imminent House vote for an Impeachment Inquiry. Things set for this post-season.


But now is only Game 1 of however many games. It will be interesting to see who might gain home court advantage going forward.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
