In the opening scenes in The Dirty Dozen, Private Arthur James Gardner was executed for the crime of murder. The case was tried three times, reviewed three times, the results were the same. For his part, Gardener said "he was sorry, he did not mean it" whereas the "executing officer" gave the nod and the Private was dropped into the well. Lee Marvin's Major John Reisman was a witness to the proceedings.


The cases against Trump have been brought three times, examined three times, and with the Supreme Court 9-0 ruling, the other cases in New York, D.C., or Georgia, are not necessarily proving the Trump killer that was hoped. However, that result is not sitting well with some. In its Decision restoring Trump to Colorado, SCOTUS said that legislation is would be re-quired to place any prohibition of Trump off any ballot.


There are some people who cannot abide another Trump Administration. The whole effort against the former President is being born of desperation and the concept that the American people cannot be trusted to not vote for Trump. New York Congressman Gerald Nadler (D) said as much in remarks he made a year or so ago. As to actually introduce a Bill, Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD), along with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL), are contemplating measures that would bar Trump from re-election, in essence, do what Colorado and the other states could not.


If this activity was not so serious, it would almost be funny. Skits for Saturday Night LIVE. By this time tomorrow, the degree of Trump's success will be better known. So will the reaction of his opponents, in the media and on Capitol Hill. What will be the path forward for Haley come Wednesday ? Will pundits on CNN or MSMBC be able to come to grips on what is an evolving story ?


Former President Trump has caused a pathology that has been called "Trump Derangement Syndrome." Now, whether that gets formalized in the DSM IV, it is a condition that is afflicting those who are not capable of seeing Trump as anything other than an existential threat that threatens their way of life. That being said, any threat to Democracy is not coming from Trump but instead those who are trying to move Heavan and Earth getting rid of him.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
