Start With A Corner. . .

(Start With A Corner. . .)

One can go to any Hallmark Store and see examples of jig-saw puzzles of thousands of pieces. It can be an image of Buckingham Palace, the Giza Pyramids, the Empire State Building or whatever. Former President Trump now has a jigsaw puzzle of his own, bringing Haley (who has withdrawn her candidacy as of the morning) voters, as well as affected independents. Over the next months, it will incumbent on Trump to lay out his ideas for his new term.

Haley's withdrawal did not come with her endorsement of the GOP Frontrunner but she did wish him well. but she also said that she, and her "supporters" were not completely sold as to supporting Trump in the Fall. These are the "pieces" Trump has to assemble. And, despite the broad dis-pleasure that this Biden-Trump 2, it is no use denying reality. The reality is, however, that this time last year, Donald Trump was considered persona non grata. There was no chance to regain the White House.

His was a failed Presidency. In order to win again, he would need all those who went for President Biden to return. Remember, even the jungle wanted him dead. That was then. Now, since Republican Primary voting had begun, his has dominated, over-performing since Iowa. Now that Super Tuesday is in the books and he all swept those contests, as of today, the former President could be on his way to possibly being President again, and if he wants to take the Presidential Oath, again, he would need to place all those Nikki Haley pieces in his puzzle.

President Biden has been trying to put Haley pieces of his own in his own puzzle. The State of the Union is tomorrow where the President will be making his own pitch to the more independently minded, those who vote but are not necessarily ideologically driven. Kitchen table issues, the economy, inflation, the immigration crisis and so on. Between Biden and Trump, the vote will be going to whomever can most effectively address those issues.

If they get a chance. In arguing for Trump's chances, or the lack thereof at the time, Republicans will have to contend with all the mail in's, harvesting and so on. If Trump were ever to be in the position he is in now, all but the new Republican Nominee and leading in the polls over President Biden, a new Trump election is "not how things work."

It is speaking volumes that Democrats would need to cheat. Not just in polling but also the legal cases. However, if Trump does win, and wins decisively, it will show that Donald Trump completed his puzzle and he had Haley voters in his mosaic.
