Bored Of Education

(Bored Of Education)

No one can fail to notice that, in the wake of pandemic inspired school closures, various deficiencies in math or reading were detected among several grades, most pronounced in third, fourth, fifth grades and eighth. Each metric showed a marked decrease in the quality of education. After billions of dollars ostensibly to retrofit schools in order to "safe" them, the effects of the lockdowns and the distant learning have all been contributing factors in this bad report card.

One can say that the situation has changed, however. Reading, writing or math are less now important than the need to become "woke." Such educational norms as have existed in the past have been perpetuating that systemic racism and gender bias that abounds in American society. It is true that an educated society is an independent society, one less conditioned to conform. It is the reason teachers' unions have been exercising so much power. It is the reason why critical race theory is being taught. That is why the identities of children, as a consequence, need to be re-organized. That is why the respective genders are placed in doubt, That is why sexualization has to begin at such an early age. Until these elements of identity are altered, previous instruction of the "3 R's" can be relegated to secondary importance.

These educational issues have become an important campaign issue in these elections and indeed the Governor Youngkin of Virginia, won Office based on the educational preferences of Commonwealth parents that have preferred the traditional role, as opposed to state control, as was endorsed by Terry McCauliffe, the Democrat in the race. That being said, however, in the long run, the McCauliffe perspective will prevail. The Justice Department can still target those parents, the ones that have spoken at school board meetings themselves and the ones that have even run for board positions.

A lot of people are on the news saying that the GOP will have a very good November 8th and the education issues and a parents "Bill of Rights," allowing for more parent control. Republican seats could be gained in the House or Senate, but it could lack staying power. In the debate for the Pennsylvania Senate debate for this evening, all Democrat Fetterman has to prove is that he is breathing, and he wins against Dr. Oz by default. The former is still six points ahead of the Republican.

In the end, there will be in-sufficient opposition to counter the efforts to mold the country's school age population into the new definition of a modern citizen. This will be a new generation that will have received proper in-doctrinarian and will be acting accordingly. So, when new mandates government mandates concerning climate change, mandates whose enforcement could become problematic in a free society, the answer would be to make the society less free. Once that behavior gets learned, the fact that 2+2=4 becomes less impotant.
