In a piece of theater, Elon Musk walked into the Twitter headquarters carrying a kitchen sink, as the Tesla founder announced he "had just bought the building." Immediately, Musk discharged two senior Twitter executives, people who apparently did not share Musk's vison for the company, namely that it had been their tendency to censor speech where it has been Musk's intention to open the platform up to freer expression. Access to narrative creation that is no longer dependent on official policy or media influence.


Yesterday, it was remarked that Democrats with an impending loss of political power will be losing the ability to control the narrative. The same will be true with the national media across all spectra. It had been a relationship where the Administration and Democrat story could be "explained" in a favorable light. That is the reason why there was there is little coverage at the border. That is why crime in major Democrat controlled cities is not a major item in the news. And, what reportage will be happening as Democrats keep losing poll position ?


The alternative and the exception has been the Fox News Channel. Its formula has been news during the daytime and commentary, usually from the right in prime time. FNC generates the ratings that out-perform CNN or MsNBC as well as the news operations of the major networks. It has been Fox that has been tracking the rise of Republican candidates to the current polling status. But, will Fox News cover a Republican Congress with the same deference by which the Biden Administration and Democrats received from the other media organs.


Journalism, from whatever the source, used to be restricted to the dissemination of information to the public. There has always been opinion but that traditionally was relegated to a separate "editorial page." In recent years there has been the explosion of alternative media, namely over the Internet, like the now Musk Twitter. However, there came a time when straight reporting evolved into advocacy, Journalists became "woke" and began to monopolize thought. A tyranny of the left arose in newsrooms and TV bureaus alike.


This was the environment that worked so well for the media and Democrats. But now, one side will be less participatory, and a new story will begin to be crafted. News at eleven.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
