Appearances need to be maintained. All things being equal, President Biden has been caught with his own collection of mis-placed classified documents, much akin to the situation faced at former President's Mar-A-Lago estate that required a full FBI tactical raid. Now Biden's material, located at his affiliated "think tank" at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as some additional documentation held at the residence in Delaware and a newly discovered location. Will these Biden locations be subject to the same treatment ?

Not likely. Current President's carry more deference than predecessors. And of course, it was Donald Trump that had been the subject of the Palm Beach episode so the material would be more suspect than whatever is in the President's possession, But, appearances need to be maintained and, to avoid looking like a complete hypocrite, Attorney General Meritt Garland is appointing a Special Counsel to investigate these three Biden document dump locations.

There could admittedly be some in-criminating material in these Biden files. It has been surmised that the President is closer to Beijing and as it happens, the Chinese have been donors to the Penn institution. Facts about son Hunter, who has an even closer relationship with the Chinese. Are these the table of contents for these non-secured papers ?

The quality of "intelligence," for a lack of a better word, between what was found at Mar-A-Lago and what is being discovered in Joe Biden's custody is probably comparable. The revelations that these documents exist, however, after the President had called Trump so "irresponsible" over the Mar-A-Lago haul, The White House and the President has made public assurances that having these files in an environment less secure than a SCIF (Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility) can be a serious breach.

There is a moral to the story. Whatever one does not made public, put it up. Like Don Henley said, "keep your dirty laundry." Presidents can be careless and Administrations generate so much paperwork that it can be difficult to make sure that every page, classified or otherwise, is exactly in a secure location. But whatever is revealed in this "Biden Greatest Hits," Trump's was probably far worse.
