One can remember Lee Majors, Big Valley, The 6 Million Dollar Man, Fall Guy, and Ash vs The Evil Dead, all TV shows Majors has starred at various times. In any event, Majors' role in The Fall Guy was as a stunt man who moonlit as a Federal Marshal. The reason he is referenced today is that the failures of the Biden Administration have reached critical mass and a first casualty has been has been identified, as White House Chief of Staff, Ron Klain.


Everything that has gone wrong in the Biden Presidency can probably be attributed to someone other than the President. What influence might have Klain have had on the decisions concerning the Afghan withdrawal ? Why the U.S. is no longer energy independent ? How much of Klain promotes the open border ? The President has noticeable cognitive issues so might an over-zealous Chief of Staff "fill in the banks" for Biden's benefit ?


There needed to be a power behind the throne. When President Wilson had a de-bilitating stroke, it had been Mrs. Wilson that had assumed affairs of State, after a sense. How much of Ron Klain is Mrs. Wilson ? Mr. Klain was supposed to be the rudder to an otherwise chaotic White House. But that White House has been a litany of failure and a point had been reached when the most senior, yet expendable, Administration official and that role fell to the Chief of Staff, who was forced onto his sword.


Incoming Chief of Staff is named Jeff Zients, who has his own baggage. Usually with a change of personnel at this level, could one also assume a change in direction ? That would be what one would expect but, it remains to be seen, how much of a policy influencer in the mold of Ron Klain Zients might be. But, the Biden Administration needs more than a new suit in the West Wing. It would need to change the entire direction of the Biden Presidency.


That being said, Zients will not be running point on any new policy change, as needed as they might be. Will Zients recommend the closure of the border ? Open the fossil fuel industry ? How will the Zients White House handle the on-going document revelations ? What will be the Executive position be for raising the debt ceiling ? Finally, how close is Jeff Zients to the Hunter Biden dramas ?


But Mr. Zients will have the same problem as Mr. Klain. In some form or another, success, at anything, if Zients is not to follow Klain out the door.

TEQUILA !

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
