There is a general understanding between employer and employee that one provides a service and such services are compensated. Would that be the case every instance ? Congressman Adam Schiff has been expelled off the House Intelligence Committee. President Biden has decided to send some 30 MIA1 Abrams to the Ukraine. Now, these might be the ebb and flow of politics and international relations but are being based in objective reality. Shiff's removal from Intelligence and Biden's escalating the Ukraine War are judgement calls but there is first a facts on the ground that are considered. first. Objective truths, in other words.


One can realize that sometimes, "truth" can be in the eyes of the beholder. That generally holds for everything except when one gets to the applied science. Like math. Two plus two will always equal four. That would be unless heard about an associate "math" professor from Vanderbilt University, who is claiming that math education is a so-called "White and cishopatrichal space that necessarily limits gay and people of color."


So what ? Mathematics is known as a universal language because its precepts are constant and always renders the same result, regardless of whether one speaking of simple arithmetic or advanced differential calculus. So, what is an associate professor from Vanderbilt, by no means a school of idiots. Why then is one of its math teachers coming out with such an idiotic statement ?


And again, Vanderbilt is paying this guy ? This school in Nashville, hardly a beacon of woke ideology so one would not expect such an asinine statement from one so affiliated. So, what about the people who are purportedly adversely affected by said math education ? Is there any quality what would prelude such action ? Anybody can do math and one can assume that was a course regimen in high school.


Maybe there is a way for Vanderbilt to save face. Pay the professor in Monopoly Money and claim that giving out his salary would be a white and cishopatrichal exercise. In other words, get real first.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences.
