A new "Batman" themed character debuts tomorrow in an episode of Gotham Knights. The new role is that of "Two-Face" where former Gotham District Attorney, Harvey Dent gets disfigured in an acid attack that scars half his face, hence the new moniker. Such a description can be applied to President Biden. Yesterday. Biden's announced decision to authorize a limited production of Alaska's Willow project. He probably had his fingers crossed.


Let's put the decision in context. And for all the activists that are panicking now, they can rest assured that no new oil will be flowing out of Willow or anywhere else for that matter. bringing Willow on-line will still take years, after the next President will be elected. As that is probably the incumbent at this point, once back in Office, he can cancel Willow the first day in his second term. Just like Keystone was cancelled Day One last time,


It was supposed some months ago that Biden will win if Trump is the GOP Nominee. The former President is still the favorite for Republican rank and file. However, everybody else, Democrats, independents, and all in between despise Trump. And, if Republicans do make Trump the nominee, he will lose worse than 2020, and Democrats would be able to run a straight up campaign. And the Trump loss this time would reverberate down ballot. Minority Leader McCarthy ?


That being said, one has emerged that is the non-Trump. The problem is that he has yet to declare and seems content to remain Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis. He is the only viable alternative to Trump. DeSantis might not quite rise to the level of George Washington or a Dwight Eisenhower, but if Republicans wish to avoid the blood-bath next November whatever, then Governor DeSantis has to be the Nominee.


And he might be but he will have to eviscerate Trump. Such a cleavage in the GOP will do damage but there is no choice. President Biden is seeing this and, if he can seem reasonable, like green-light Willow, for time being, people might see the President in a more favorable light. How might he look on Election Day ?

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
