Til' Tuesday was a band from the 1980's that had one charting hit, "Voices Carry." Next Tuesday is the day where former President Donald Trump will be arrested and put through a perp-walk. Cuffed. finger prints, all in front of the cameras of what is sure to be a gleeful media. After years of effort, the anti-Trump movement, across all areas, is now on the verge of prevailing. Or, is it ?


Trump lost the last Election but he is still seen as a continued threat to the Establishment, for a lack of a better term. Trump is like a re-curing fungus that has yet to be cured. He could have been discarded earlier and finally be relegated to an "also ran." Even when he announced he was running for President, again, his chances of prevailing were nil. That would be until he is paraded like a criminal, and while there are those who think he is, if Trump gets hauled out of Mar A Lago in hand cuffs, at that instance, he would be made a martyr.


Tesla and now Twitter CEO, Elon Musk has said that were Trump made a spectacle, he would win re-election by a land-slide. However, Trump has always had the advantage of being under-estimated while the skill of the opposition is over-estimated. The Russia collusion hoax, FBI and Justice Department leadership, the Mueller investigation, three impeachments from vengeful Democrats. And, of course it was Trump that instigated the January 6th Capitol Hill riot. It is true that some context has been added to the latter, but the point is that Trump is still "surviving."


The former President has become like a stray cat who keeps coming back because someone keeps feeding him. It had been suggested here that had Trump just been ignored, he would have retired. But because he has been an obsession for so many people for so long, a pathology emerged. In the attempt to excise that condition, however, the end result could be Trump's return. Still the interference candidate.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Or, in other words, relax. Take a breath. De-compress. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome. Like with the Israel- Hamas war where the Biden Administration continues to press for an all but unilateral ceasefire on the part of Israel.
