Welcome to Cinco de Mayo, or, for all the Gringos out there, May Fifth, A common theme in this most important of holidays is sometimes the acquisition and excessive use of Tequila. Literally, "shots heard around the world !"  Mrs. Biden could refer to all those "breakfast tacos" she talked about in San Antonio no less, to get an idea as to how people can live.


And that is what people are doing it independent of what Biden wants with EVs, or gas stoves, air conditionings, and everything else that Biden thinks he needs to restrict. If were only him, things might be that bad but Biden is point in ideologically driven environmental cult that is colliding with practicality.


Case in point is the new gas stove restriction. Not wanting to not virtue signal with the President, New York Governor, Cathy Hochul, has said that new buildings would need an electric only, no gas, and retrofitting structures already in place. In time, Sparks Steak House will be known for two things, It had been the site where Big Paul Castellano was taken out and how its once legendary steaks become mere burgers because gas was dis-allowed,


They serve Tequila at Sparks. Probably an expensive one considering the restaurant's reputation. What are the patrons thinking about the proposed ban ? Wall Street and other high finance, numerous New York lawyers, even law enforcement. If one wanted to order a porterhouse but was denied because environmental wannabees have determined that the creation of that large steak in traditional manner is bad for the environment ?


With the legal "troubles" facing Hunter Biden and evidence of possible linkages to his father, might one suggest a re-focus attention in that direction and less on how Sparks grills what are culinary masterpieces. And, shoot some agave juice.

TEQUILA !

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Or, in other words, relax. Take a breath. De-compress. May 5th as it happens is the anniversary of Mexico's victory over French "occupation" of Mexico by Emperor Maximillian, brother to Austrian monarch Maria Theresa in what has been called the Battle of Puebla. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome. Like with the Israel- Hamas war where the Biden Administration continues to press for an all but unilateral ceasefire on the part of Israel.
