It can be uncomfortable to be at the top. Especially when that piece of leadership is not universally acknowledged. That seems to be the case with North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, "Leopold" in other words. Just to briefly re-cap, Leopold was a dog in a Daffy Duck feature Birth of a Notion. Basically, Daffy is seeking room and board in the house of a Peter Lorre mad-scientist and Leopold was the dog that let him in. When Daffy and Lorre mix it up, Leopold says "some part I got in this picture. Phooey !"


In any event, Kim Jong Un, despite the nuclear and ballistic technology, he apparently still does not feel appreciated. World events are passing the DPRK by and all he can do is observe. War between China and Taiwan is all but imminent. He is seeing a weakened America with President Joe Biden. Jong Un is like having to sit at the kiddie table while all the grown-ups sit at the big table.


He is not taking things well. He has gained weight to 300 pounds, he has been drinking heavily chain. smoking and could even be on narcotics. He could also be suffering from depression. Strung out dictators are never stable. Look at Hitler. From a distance. Kim is seeing that his country in the true isolated state it is. Anybody would be depressed.


However, it will be what happen with patron China. over these next months that will determine Leopold's state of things. Where will North Korea stand in any Sino-Formosan (Taiwan) war ? Such an endeavor will be taxing to Beijing and what support it would still be able to deliver. China is the lifeline to the Kim Regime and if that gets interrupted, food, energy and so on, problems for Pyongyang could escalate.


No wonder Leopold is depressed !

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
