No one can dispute the green focus of the Biden Administration. Just as many will say the effort has been excessive with the so-called "war on fossil fuels." The Administration is insisting on an energy transition regardless of whether it is required, or even desirable. Wind and solar have become the only acceptable source of energy generation but such measures barely create energy in the first place. That being said and speaking of energy, one should question the energy of the President.


The condition of President Biden is becoming more apparent daily, both his cognitive and physical condition. There is concern among high ranking Democrats that of the President is not compromised now, by Election Day arrives a year next November, he surely would be. Maintaining the assumption that Biden would be fine if the GOP Nominee is Trump, and that continuers to appear likely, But what happens when Biden is removed for health, or for any other reason ?


The first obvious issue is the non-viability of the Vice President. Kamala Harris is seen less favorably than Biden. She never acclimated to her role as the most powerful woman in the world, one heartbeat away from the Oval Office herself. But one cannot make a mess of Presidential succession just because Biden and Harris have washed out.


Then who ? California Governor Newsome ? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Marianne Willimson ? Or perhaps West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin ?Or Professor Cornel West ? The danger to the Democrat ticket is that the participation of any of these lesser candidates could draw votes away in critical areas, And in any close election, that could be the difference.


At least, it could not be Trump. Right ?

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome. Like with the Israel- Hamas war where the Biden Administration continues to press for an all but unilateral ceasefire on the part of Israel.
