Remember, the X-Files was cancelled. Twice. Since the so-called "Roswell Incident," where something "strange" crashed on a farm near the Roswall Army Airbase and when whatever it had been made an article in the local newspaper but, when the Base Public Affairs Officer, Captain Jesse Marchel presented the "wreckage," it was only a weather balloon.


Since then, there has been a great mythology that has arisen over the whole UFO phenomenon, There has been an endless litany of government control, secret organizations like Majestic 12 and how all witnesses are silenced somehow. The old Fox science fiction show, X-Files. Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigate the "X-Files" for the FBI and Muder, an Oxford trained psychologist who saw his sister kidnapped by aliens. He and Scully uncovered a conspiracy led by the Cigarette Smoking Man, part of a global Cabel that meant to manage an alien invasion. For further details. one would need to steam the series.


Now, hoe would Mulder or Scully or even the Cigarette Smoking Man react now that a Congressional Inquiry has been convened to discuss the very topic that was at the heart of the X-Files. Witnesses. namely pilots who have encountered aerial vehicles of such ability as to not suggest human engineering, And, and even more absurd, there is a claim non-human "bodies" have also been recovered. Seriously ?


What is this ? Close Encounters of the Idiotic ? If what was suggested in Congress is accurate, then, whatever is being encountered, assuming it is truly alien, that would postulate that this life form had travelled some light years to get here and to get here in any reasonable time, they must have the ability to exceed the speed of light. As far as the bodies might go, there was a program called Alien Autopsy a few years ago.


In the end, it is far more likely that these aerial craft are just not American. But it would seem to be more viable to claim UFO's and Little Green Men. Or, one can come to the senses and say what thins really are. Just another weather balloon.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences.
