When the Titanic sank, one of the recommendations in the aftermath was to have the U.S. Coast Guard to monitor the ice conditions in the North Atlantic and warn any traffic sailing into the affected regions. It also was not uncommon, assuming the berg was big enough, to step on and cut a piece to cool off a beverage, The same thing could be done in Greenland or the Antarctic, cleaving pieces of ice to put into a drink. Home Economics personality Martha Stewert was seen enjoying a cocktail, chilled with piece of glacial ice. And, for some reason, some people freaked. Ice is ice and whether it comes from a Greenland glacier or an ice machine in a freezer. The goal is a cold drink.


Another one who take a chill pill is perhaps Tucker Carlson. The former Fox News personality has gone on to Twitter/X and gave an interview to former President Trump the same night as the Republican Debate, but the sit-down garnered perhaps as many as 100 million views.  A question that Carlson asked Trump was the possibility of the latter's assassination.


Is Trump's death really an option ? Is the former President still considered such a threat as to have him removed permanently ? He will be tied up in court, his ability to be on the trail will be limited so why would he need to be "retired." As was always the case, the prosecution of Trump has been less about any question of illegality and more of the threat he poses politically.


But it is speaking volumes when people are losing their mind over a Marthat Stewert cold drink and assassinating Donald Trump could be considered, Okay ? Take a breath or, as the case shows, a chill pill. Believe me. One should not be getting an ulcer based on ice in a glass or if Donald Trump is dead man walking.

TEQUILA !

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Or, in other words, relax. Take a breath. De-compress. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
