Copernicus was wrong. The center of the Universe is not the Sun but Donald Trump. After the latest indictment out of Georgia, on what amounts to racketeering charges, making the total  four altogether. Trump has been indicted now with eighteen other defendants including former New York City Mayor, Rudi Giuliani. Are the bases now all covered and with this charge from the Peach State be sufficient to end Donald Trump once and for all ?


As was said the other day, the collective effect will be to keep the leading GOP candidate off the trail. Keeping the former President otherwise occupied and overwhelmed with legal fees, this has been an all points effort to force Trump to leave the race altogether, That is not going to happen, The leading Republican, by a lot, will resist, regardless of cost.


Has anybody heard about detiorating economic conditions in China ? That Ohio voters could vote to remove qualified immunity from law enforcement officers ? How President Biden wants to still forgive student debt in contravention of the Supreme Court. But all that had been lost in the news cycle.


The question now is who is the beneficiary ? President Biden had been on a beach. Next, he will be on another vacation. He seemed listless when queried over the Maui disaster, delivering a curt "no comment." Maui is a chance for Biden to be Presidential. To rally Hawaiians. But the assumption that Biden would beat Trump in any prospective re-match is no longer assured. Because the possibility of a Trump victory exists, all levels of government get applied to his ouster.


What about the rest of the Republican Party ? Either this will prove that Trump can rally his supporters or finally be discarded. The former President would have to run the tables and get all not guilty verdicts. All his so-called co-conspirators have to remain loyal and not "flip." If he should prove successful, ?


It cannot pass notice that every time an issue arises with the Bidens, that seems to be the time to indict Donald Trump, one more time.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
