Former House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi is like quarterback Tom Brady, who had trouble deciding if he were "retired" or not. Pelosi passed the Gavel to current Speaker McCarthy and went to Rome. But now, she has decided to run again, which would be curious to some. If re-elected, she would no longer be eligible for leadership. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is Democratic Leader and would not be likely to resign in favor of a Pelosi return. But the truth is that a townhouse in Georgetown, where a D.C. based Pelosi could reside, is much safer than her District back in San Francisco. As she said, she wants to return to the House because she needs money and her Congressional pension apparently does not seem adequate.


What has been allowed to happen in San Francisco has been emblematic of the leaders that have run it, like Mrs. Pelosi. President Biden is now in Vietnam after finishing the G-20 in New Delhi. Biden has announced that the U.S. will "exceed" so-called climate goals set in India. He has been in Hanoi as a possible alternative to Beijing while at the same time stressing that he wants the Peoples' Republic to "succeed by the rules." Whatever that means ?


Vietnam, like China, can be a source of rare metals. Another source of said minerals is the United States. Easiest access to these substances is in the United States. But the President has a refusal to commit to domestic extraction, rare earths and especially oil. On the surface, such policies make no sense, except if one is the President and be-holden to leftist donors. It is this mentality that has contributed to the detiorating states, not only in the Bay City but the Windy City, the Big Apple, and so on.


These are the un-intended consequences of Biden policy as the costs are outweighing whatever benefit the President believes he is imparting to the country. His mandates, especially in regard to energy and appliances are not widely popular. The President has been myopically focused on climate change because he has been told as much. People used to want to save the whales. But now the priority is the erection of huge windmills off the coast, which is killing said whales. A biological contribution to green energy.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome. Like with the Israel- Hamas war where the Biden Administration continues to press for an all but unilateral ceasefire on the part of Israel.
