Does anyone know there is a war on ? Whenever a high-intensity conflict erupts, it tends to disrupt what had been ante-bellum. So what happens to the Biden impeachment inquiry ? Despite the confusion of new role as a prospective wartime Executive comes into focus, to a point. The President does have an opportunity to show leadership but if the attack in Syria will be the extent of his commitment, then one can continue as before.


There is a distinction to be made here. Impeaching a President in a time of war, when a country should rally behind the Commander in Chief. That being said, however, President Biden has no intention of being Commander in Chief. That does not negate all the evidence that of the Biden family corrupt activities. So, a continued investigation is warranted.


Speaker Johnson is fresh on the job and it would do nothing if the House does away with any impeachment proceedings. Johnson has his own political imperative and he will need to lead the GOP Conference in spite of an evolving world situation. Constitution imperatives are clear however, to say this exercise is devoid of all political consideration is being naïve. The idea is to damage the President as mush as possible, especially going into an Election Year.


Speaker Johnson needs to show the House can walk and chew gum at same time, namely that Appropriations bills, the support of Israel and what else is on the docket. The House has to do its work in a world that is President Biden's creation. The New World Order or a new Axis of Evil comprising China, Iran, North Korea and Russia. Such a lack of judgement in the realm of foreign affairs can be added to a list of charges that can be applied. Add border and energy policy and one gets a failed Presidency.


As long as Joe Biden remains in Office, damage will continue to be done, but he can only be removed by specific measures. Either he gets impeached and convicted, or he loses re-election, to Donald Trump of all people. Or Democrat Party officials could replace him with a new candidate and let him, or, her, run.


While this drama is playing out and the fate of a President is being decided, nothing here will alter outcomes in Europe and the Near East which is serving as a background the Biden dramas. So, time has not stopped, but it is moving very slowly.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
