As one is watching the news, after a month of hostilities, Israeli Defense Forces have managed to cut the Gaza Strip in half and are investing Gaza City. According to the IDF, some 10,000+ enemy combatants, that means Hamas fighters, have been killed. As the Israeli offensive grinds forward, another land battle comes to mind. Like Hamas surrounded in Gaza, so the German Sixth Arny was surrounded at Stalingrad, unable to be relieved or re-supplied, Sixth Army withered on the vine in November 1942. In November 2023, Hamas will be suffering the same fate.


Hamas is not the only organization under pressure. New, and remarkable polling has the former President is beating the current President in more than a few polls. These Pages have spent the last year discounting Trump at every turn, adhering to the conventional wisdom that President Biden is un-assailable. But, as often happens, policy choices begin to have consequences.


One such choice has been Biden's lack-luster response to aiding Israel. With the addition of a converted ballistic missile submarine to a cruise missile platform, the American firepower in the region is un-surpassed. But at the same time. Biden is singularly un-interested in applying any of that force where it would count. A vigorous defense of Israel would invariably involve other players and that is the situation the President could not manage, even after some 40 American service people have been wounded (one fatality). Admiral Kirby goes before the media and repeats a litany of appeasement and de-escalation. 


Bidenomics ? The Green New Deal ? Energy policy ? All these issues have eroded the President's support. Even his renewable energy policy is being repudiated with wind-mill projects being cancelled and then abandoned and dis-mantled. That is especially true on the East Coast, where the so-called wind mills are being taken down, allowing the whale populations to recover.


Biden was placed into Office for the express purpose of defeating President Trump. Once that objectives had been attained, and Democrats were swept into Office with all levers of power, That was then. Now, the President is under House investigation which could lead to Biden's impeachment.  Biden was supposed to be the Trump alternative but now, it would seem that Trump is emerging as the Biden alternative. So, before Trump is able to make good on any of those poll numbers, there is a move to replace the Biden-Harris ticket.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
