Most people know about the rock band, Aerosmith. The "Brom Boston" emerges on the scene in the 1970's and released a number of albums, the commercial break-out with "Toys in the Attic" that delivered such hits as Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way. As the decade wore on, however, tensions within the band as well as significant drug use, Aerosmith, for all intents and purposes, had broken up by the time 1980 came around. The members went their separate ways, went to other acts, and the band's glory days were forgotten.

Then, about mid-decade, a brilliant producer took the fledgling music form called "Rap,"
found a group called Run-DMC and thought that the Aerosmith hit "Walk This Way" but set it to a rap format. This being the heyday of MTV, a video was filmed where the members of Run-DMC were interrupting Aerosmith's frontman Steve Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry. after the song's opening riff, the rap version cuts in, interrupting Tyler's vocals. The lead breaks into the adjourning studio and finishes the refrain a screaming "Walk This Way !"

The video was a hit and even won an award at the Video Music Award. The point was, however that the Boys from Beantown could still be viable. David Geffen, head of Geffen Records, re-assembled, by that time clean and sober, and put them into a studio. After a few months, a new album was released. It was called "Permanant Vacation."

President Biden has been on his own "permanent vacation" since he had assumed office. He is off to St. Croix now and that has been independent of all the times the President is not in the White House. In fact, it has been figured that Biden has spent only 40% being President. His in-attentiveness comes at an un-fortunate time as American leadership is requires now than in most instances.

A more forceful statement is needed against Iran and its numerous proxies. Why is Red Sea traffic still being fired upon ? With assets in theater, the Houthi menace in Yemen could be neutralized. Beyond that, Tehran has yet to recognize that a more present President and one with more will, such a reckoning could be more forthcoming.

Fortunately for the Iranians and Houthis, that is not President Biden. He apparently content to intercept missiles from deployed American guided missile destroyers. Anything of a more substantive response is not being considered. It could interrupt Biden's vacation.
