Happy Christmas Eve ! One can imagine the legions of children on the edge of their beds in anticipation of what Santa-inspired rapture that is only hours away. To confirm the point, The North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) has confirmed that Santa and his reindeer have departed the North Pole and delivering presents to children in Asia. So, it will still be few hours before Saint Nick gets to the USA.


That wait could still be too long for some. So, a compromise was devised. In most households, one present could be un-wrapped on Christmas Eve. That can take the edge off so, when Christmas Day arrives proper, it is the general feeling that it was worth the wait. It is also worth the wait for Donald Trump who had his own gift of a sort. The Supreme Court has refused to fast-track Prosecutor Jack Smith's case to their Bench (the Colorado issue is set to be "resolved'' separately).


That being said, the hope of the Prosecution to have judgement rendered before the Election is proving problematic, any decision by March is now beyond the realm of possibility. The so-called anti-Trump elements and they are as legion as those kids waiting for Santa, have a limited window in which to accomplish their goal which is to prevent a Donald Trump return to the White House.


So, the Smith rebuke is another Trump reprieve. But, the former President has to still run a gauntlet of other charges and court appearances all through next year. On Super Tuesday itself, depending how Trump does in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, if he does well if not run the tables, not that he will, Trump could be otherwise engaged on that delegate rich March day, and emerge a more prohibitive favorite then and still be off the trail.


But it's Christmas Eve. Families need to look to go to Church. They need to perhaps get a Christmas Eve Dinner.  And go home, open that gift. Put the kids to bed with "dreams of sugarplums dancing in their heads." In the morning, Donald Trump won't even be a memory. And that is as it should be.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
