This is worthy of comment. With a clear indication of having no life, national pollsters from varying organizations, and all show Donald Trump expanding his lead over the GOP field and still leads President Biden. Now and this has been stressed, it is early. But the 2024 Election will have a broader audience than the millions of Americans to report at polling stations next November, if not sooner. Election night returns will also be closely watched in Beijing, in Moscow, in Tehran and Pyongyang.


Each nation on that list has experience with Donald Trump. How will Premier Xi Jinping react when Donald Trump again takes the Oath of Office ? He probably remembers the last time when, while the two leaders were at Mar-A-Lago, and President Trump announced that he had just bombed Syria. Can Jinping depend on all Trump's sanctions returning ? Things between Beijing and Washington had been left in a so-called Phase One. The Chinese tried to play Trump and, if Trump returns to White House, he could perhaps dictate terms.


For all the "Russia-Russia-Russia" hoaxes, how will Trump 47 handle President Putin ? More to the point, how will Putin approach Trump ? How will a new Trump Administration manage the Ukraine War ? Will Trump seek to end it ? Will Trump seek to sanction Russia the by same manner he would China ? Actually, Trump will not need to. With his stated purposes of "Drill baby drill," the subsequent drop in the price of oil will make War prosecution non-tenable.


The same thing can be applied to Iran. Like with China and Russia, Trump can drill for more oil, explore for more oil, literally flood the market. At the same time, Trump could re-impose oil sanctions that had been close to bankrupting the Islamic Republic to begin with and stanching its own oil production. One can probably be assured that any new President Trump will make short work of any so-called Iranian proxies, operating in the region.


When Joe Biden was elected President, his presumed mandate was to expel Trump, and then chart his own independent, green. socialist. Questionable the term "independent." Now three and a half years of the Biden Administration, and all that went wrong, so Donald Trump is making an improbable return.


Trump is like Napoleon returning from exile. The Corsican came back to France and, like Trump now, is looking for a way back into the White House. Now, since Trump knows where all the bodies are buried, here and abroad, he should be more of an expert.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Or, in other words, relax. Take a breath. De-compress. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
