This Friday is one of those days where the last month's jobs report and today, and some 216,000 jobs were created in December, the un-employment rate came in at 3.7%. All things considered, a solid report. There were figures in the small print that detracted from the overall assessment, but, on the whole, it represented a continued strength in the economy. That being said, this number had nothing to do with Bidenomics.


Of course, the President will point to this report and claim credit. Biden needs all the good news he can get whether or not he is truly responsible. The House impeachment investigation is proceeding. One of the planks of the President's possible censure is the catastrophe at the southern border. Since Biden has been in Office, some millions have entered the country illegally, close to eight-hundred thousand in the last three months alone. As to Biden's possible original design that all these illegal aliens will be eventual Democrats, but costs in the mean time are proving to be prohibitive, Just ask Mayor Adams.


That being said, there is one other in the "Impeachment Dock" and that is the one individual whose job is Homeland Security Secretary, Alajandro Mayorkas. Or, perhaps in his case, it would be a lack thereof. So, if Secretary Mayorkas gets impeached about the same time as President Biden, and all on television.


Schedules mentioned put the House vote on Articles of Impeachment perhaps in March. Some House Republicans have proven reticent as far as voting to impeach Mayorkas, saying that the same process that is implicating Biden, the same thorough investigation so that if the Homeland Security Secretary is to be impeached in his own right, it will be because his responsibility for the border will be overwhelming.


The term "dereliction of duty" might be too mild for both men. The Biden Administration's open border policy was by design but that was before almost three years of fentanyl overdoses, Democrat municipalities, the Sanctuary Cities in other words, are learning that well-meaning altruism is expensive. And these cities are running out of room


If the mandating an open border is seen as a victory for the Biden Administration, it is rapidly becoming a Pyrrhic one. President Biden, as well as maybe Secretary Mayorkas, are being impeached because of a failure to recognize a basic Presidential prerogative, securing the country.

TEQUILA !

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
