One can say a word about the death of O.J. Simpson. The pro-football player turned actor turned murder suspect in the deaths of ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman. People will recall that Simpson stood trial for months but in the end, the Jury found him "not guilty." The events in that courtroom were compelling for all those that were watching CNN or of the other entertainment outlets. For anybody else, however, what was learned of the trial was by "inevitable exposure. In any event, this verdict had less to do with the law and more of what the jury saw as "compensation" of what the LAPD had done to Rodney King and the white officers involved were similarly granted reprieve. Now, Donald Trump will soon be getting a jury of his own and the question is the same. Will the former President be judged based on the or what the political expedient might be at the time.

The Chief of Staff to General Eisenhower was General Walter Bedell Smith. He once had a quite that "Diplomacy can never achieve what cannot be taken and held on a battlefield." So, while President Biden or State Secretary Blenkin, keep insisting that Israel engage in a cease fire with Hamas, but now, in another wholly non-diplomatic development, Iran has been threatening to retaliate against the Jewish State for its attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus where several high level Quds commanders were killed. 

Now the nature of the Iranian response has yet to be revealed but Tehran needs to still be cautious. That being said, however, the Israeli Defense Force has elevated its Alert Status citing an imminent threat and is expecting the Iranian response to materialize within the next two days. Noticeably absent from this exchange is anyone from the Biden Administration

So, if the Islamic Republic is intent on becoming more involved, then Israel needs to finish Hamas now. No more negotiations for hostages (the terror group has all but indicated that there have not been as many captives still being held). One final assault on Rafah and Hamas attrition that will accompany it, the ultimate objective is beyond the Palestinian town and Israel should not stop until it reaches the Egyptian border. In essence, this will re-set the frontiers to the 1973 cease fire. President Biden can watch.
