There have been many rivalries throughout history. In the name of gaining power, an individual, or group. will challenge the other, In a rise to absolute power, however, any opposition such as it is, would necessarily need to be suppressed. Take the case of Josef Stalin. Lenin himself thought he was rude. The more intellectual members like Kamenev or Zinoviev or even Trotski to a point, saw Stalin as a brute. However, that "brute" was able to go on and destroy Lenin's Bolsheviks and later the Soviet Union itself. Stalin could broke no opposition and with an extensive use of the secret police, namely the NKVD, all levels of Soviet society, beginning with the collectivization of agriculture and then expanding to what is called the "Great Terror," that resulted in the deaths of millions of Poles, Russians and Ukrainians, even before the German invasion.

At least, that is how they did things in the Old Country. In some questioning that was revealed before the Supreme Court on former President Trump's Immunity Case, could a Chief Executive, like Trump be prosecuted if he "ordered a coup." Whatever that means ? Extending further. another question was whether a President would actually take the step, based on political vengeance, that the actual opposition, journalists as well as politicians, could eb executed ? Like wit Comrade Stalin ?

It is saying a lot about this country if such an idea is even thinkable, especially if the source of the query is the Supreme Court. There is clearly a feeling among anti-Trump elements that would not place the killing of his enemies, like President Biden or Senator Schumer. How about standing Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell against a firing squad. Or any number of pundits that might be at CNN. To be honest, these people would not be surprised if they suddenly found themselves "targets for termination."

Trump himself has admitted that he indeed will be a dictator; on Day One, if he is re-elected. He will not have time to play with the "small fish" be they Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, or any media types that will be losing their minds.
