The term "Mayday" is the internationally recognized signal that a commercial aircraft is in distress. May 1st is also the day where the international proletariat is recognized, or otherwise leftist interests. Like the leftist and anti-Israel protests that have been occurring in places like Columbia University. Such individuals were arrested and the demonstration broken up. None will be facing criminal charges as the attention of D.A. Alvin Bragg sees the threat from former President Trump orders of magnitude over what any college protest might engender. Jewish students are being barred from campus much less able to actual attend class.


And of course the source of all this rage is, not so much the Israel-Hamas War but the reaction to it. The Biden Administration is seen as pulling support from the Jewish State and it is also clear that external agitators, agents provocateurs if you will, can be seen as responsible for the various protests, providing logistics and especially, financial support. And the President is mulling a proposal to allow Gazan refugees to come to the United States. That would be in addition to the so-called pier that is also being envisaged, to more easily funnel aid to Gaza. Read, Hamas.


As if the college was not bad enough and in a further demonstration of the economic ignorance of the Administration. They have failed in handling Israel, they have failed in controlling the campus crazies, and now, they are about to further increase peoples' heartburn. As has been mentioned, the Administration plans on raising taxes. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin tried to give assurances that no one under a $400,000 threshold would see their taxes raised but is ignoring the fact that with the planned repealing of the Trump-era reductions, all taxes will rise.


Speaking of Trump, despite Democrat efforts to keep him otherwise engaged, when he has free time, he is campaigning in states he will need to win, namely Michigan and Wisconsin. He has leads or is within the margin of error with President Biden. Trump has a lot of material because he can point to Biden handling of Israel, Columbia, Gazan refugees, taxes and so on. How concerned need Democrats be that Biden has his own issues and Trump has his.


Who then needs to call mayday ?

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
