In a stunning turn of events, it is being offered that former President Trump could be acquitted or at least get a hung jury. The consequences would be severe were that to happen. Those twelve Americans need to play ball and if one or more of them do not, they will be hated among all New York. The facts of the case never really matted as is the pre-destined outcome, and those that did not allow that result to materialize will no longer be safe in either the Big Apple if not the Empire State itself. If things proceed and Trump is released WITHOUT a guilty verdict, he will be free to return to the Campaign trail. One of the things Trump could be doing is preparing to meet President Biden. In a debate.


The former President has been enthusiastically looking forward to facing Biden again. Since the issue first arose, Trump has stated "anytime. anyplace" for the discussion. For Biden's part, he has agreed to one debate next month and a second in September. Early voting will have started in some quarters so seeing the two candidates face off will crystalize in peoples' minds exactly they will meet the Election.


Of course, the caveat here is does Biden have the real stamina to face Trump for an hour and a half without his medication ? If he was amped at the State of the Union, what will be on with Trump ? In so many ways, President Biden is already compromised. A poor performance against Trump would only extenuate that fact. Trump knows this. He knows that by goading the President into an uncomfortable environment he could see Biden fall short.


What is the alternative ? A failure to meet Trump is not a sign of political courage but by the same measure, a lack of a debate displays a lack of confidence, The last time these two met, it was seen by many that Biden prevailed over Trump but that was because Biden was using a cheat sheet, "intelligence" provided by external sources that blunted Trump's attacks. 


That will not be the case this time.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
