Many consider The Godfather Part II the better movie than the original. The story of the Fall of Michael Corleone comes into better focus. In the scene at the Corleone Estate outside Reno, and the meeting with Senator Geary who announces his intentions to extort Corleone and that he wants the answer by noon tomorrow." To which Michael replies: "Senator, you can have my answer now. My offer is this. Nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license, which I would like for you to take care of personally."


Now, this is a good example from Francis Ford Coppola but the idea translates today to what is happening at the border. President Biden, in his creepy whispering voice, complains that  there was this bi-partisan border bill, where once some 2,500 or so and then he could close the border. But, like Michael Corleone's ultimatum to Senator Geary, "nothing" that is the Republican position on immigration. No entry. Period.


What are the acceptable levels of fentanyl ? How many of those and other drug related deaths are acceptable ? Because of Biden's open border. How many people have to die in horrible fashion ? Is just to be considered collateral damage ? Is this policy of the President's purely political ? That might be. However, how willing is Biden to tolerate the rape and murder of people at the hands of illegal aliens ?


Riley Gaines and all the other victims of illegal immigrants are the fruit of Biden policy. Who might assault a thirteen-year-old in broad daylight except one from El Salvador who is not here legally ? Is that part of the price the President can readily accept ?


One is discussing acceptable levels but numbers being considered hold significant variance, but it is only the zero-entry that is practical. Or acceptable. Biden with election issues to consider and his own open border constituency he tries to mollify but he will not get any expansion of immigration. This is what he will get, like what Micheal Corleone made clear to Senator Geary.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences.
