At this rate, oxygen levels have been depleted. The "performance" of President Biden in last Thursday's debate still revibrates these days later. The questions raised in the exchange with Trump are introducing possible invocations of the 25tb Amendment and in other questions of succession, because, if Vice President Harris cannot assume the role of President herself, then next in line would be Speaker of the House, Republican Mike Johnson. Also, there have been Decisions that were announced by the Supreme Court. The first is that so-called January 6th protesters did not necessary obstruct justice in the "riot" on Capitol Hill that morning. More significantly, however, the Supreme Court took steps to limit the Administrative State.


Like a deer in headlights, the Vice President is suddenly aware of her situation. She could become the first Black President with the President's incapacitation. But actually, removing Biden from the Ticket would be fraught with legal issues in certain swing states. For example, the Biden Campaign needs to be on Ohio's ballot by August 7th. The Democrat Convention in Chicago will take place soon after. Pay per view ?


For his part, Donald Trump has been demanding an apology from the Biden Campaign on his decline which should be obvious to everybody by now and no cheap fake is involved. In a sense, things have come full circle for the former President. Two and a half years ago. when Trump announced that he was running for two non-concurrent terms, his chances were not promising. The assumption was that Trump would win the Nomination but lose to President Biden. That logic has since been reversed.


The Supreme Court has also been active, two recent rulings mollified obstruction of justice charges concerning January 6th and also how limits have been placed on what President Trump has referred to as the Deep State, where SCOTUS dealt a blow to the regularity authority of the "permanent bureaucracy." That means no further interference with ones refrigerator, air conditioner, gas stoves and so on. The Money Shot for this term, Trump's Immunity case, will be ruled on Monday.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. (Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
