Spillin' Tha Beans ?

(Spillin' Tha Beans ?)

Common sense would have suggested that the Trump Hush Money trial jury should have been sequestered. The reason they were not, is less about having a trial and more about ensuring  the "proper" result, namely the former President's conviction. That outcome was all but predictable. That being said, however, the case was not supposed to be discussed, despite the fact that Judge Merchan had dismissed the jury for over a week, still not sequestered. Invariably, one had that ubiquitous "cousin" that announced the inevitable outcome, before the verdict was announced.

Judge Merchan had to inform the Trump team that a "comment" had been placed on Facebook where, it was alleged, "the cousin was on the jury and that Trump was to be convicted. Thank you for all your hard work." It is true that convicting Trump is truly God's Work but the Judge was not supposed to be so blatant in allowing the Facebook comment to be set. It is like an episode of Law & Order, where some jurors family is being held to "encourage" the right verdict, only, in this case, the defendant is Donald Trump.

Is this amounting to jury tampering ? Would this then constitute a technicality ? If further details of the post are confirmed, what will that do to the verdict ? All the hard work, all of the planning so that Trump could be found guilty on all thirty-four counts, only now to have it gone and the Trump record gets expunged ? The whole Democrat play-book was to go forward and identify the former President as a felon, as such. But if a mis-trial is declared and the conviction gets expunged, it will be back to square one. And, with all the other cases Trump is facing not advancing till after the Election and if the decision in New York is placed in abeyance, then the former President will have run the tables, just as he had.

Trump sentencing is still set for July 11th, days before the Republican Convention in Milwaukee. As far as the hush money trial is concerned, someone was too enthusiastic. He had to tell the world that he had the inside scoop on the Trump jury because of the "cousin" and bursting at the seams, he just had to tell somebody. So, he went to Facebook. And the rest, could be history.
