One should take time and read through the Constitution. In recent days, Constitutional principles are being applied be they the "official" immunity granted to former President Trump by the Supreme Court or the possible application of the 25th Amendment in the removal of President Biden.


The Supreme Court as well as an "independent" judiciary were enumerated in Article III of the Constitution. There have been any number of Justices, liberal and conservative, over the years and in varying numbers, determining a Court's ideological composition. While he was President, Donald Trump has the opportunity to place three Justices on the Court and that had an impact on granting his immunity. The Ruling would have its detractors naturally. President Biden saying that the Decision is dangerous and un-precented and Squad Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has even threatened to impeach the offending Associates. For their part, the three Justices that composed the Dissent. the more remarkable posit that Trump could send SEAL Team Six against one of his opponents, and still have immunity. That is absurd on its face, obviously but it is something nobody would put pass the former President.


What of the current President ? As mentioned, the other day, he is in a state flux and while Biden seems determined to resist to the very end, at some point that cannot exclusively remain his decision. Donors will be making the decision. Members of Congress will make the decision. But to actually trigger a 25th Amendment. It will therefore fall to Biden's Cabinet. In an ironic twist, how many times was the 25th Amendment recommended for Donald Trump  ? The former President was impeached three times and expulsion from Office with 25th protocols.


In a few days the Fourth of July will be celebrated. However, what should be remembered is the Constitution that was passed in September, 1787 and progressively ratified. The Constitution is why the independent Judiciary and the Supreme Court rendered its Judgement for Trump and the reaction against them is an indication that the Founders got it right. For the Court but also for takin out (almost dead) Presidents.

(TEQUILA !) Happy Cinco de Mayo or May 5th. One can hope that a lot of you out there are awash in inebriation, seeking to mainline tequila shots or enjoying a nice margarita on the patio. Intended Consequences

(Intended Consequences) For those Readers who live in the Tri-State area, who had the earthquake this morning, just be still.  There is a postulate called the Law of Un-Intended Consequences. Basically, it says that even with the best intentions, negative results sometimes happen. However, there are also instances when a negative result is precisely the desired outcome.
