Murder, is the most exciting way to die. Of course it would be uncomfortable for the victim and unfortunate for the perpetrator if he or she is caught and successfully prosecuted. But there are many ways for killing people. Killing with kindness. Killing with detail. Or, one can just as easily say, "the suspense is killing me." So, who is Donald Trump going to choose as his VEEP choice ? The suspense is killing people !


This will be the most important audition in history, second only to perhaps Bogart's screen test for Casablanca. And, for the former President, this be will the first act to his "new" Administration so the stakes will be high. There will be a run to a climax with people's weighted breath. The decision has to be delivered in the next day or so but once it has been announced, it will be like General Eisenhower giving the order to begin the Normandy Invasion that once given the whole affair would be out of his hands. For Donald Trump, it will be the same. Once the pick is made, that will determine the future of the Republican Party because Trump-(VEEP). the one who will be put on bumper stickers. And the one who will be giving his own speech at the Republican Convention. To riotous applause one can be sure.


At the same time, while the choice has to be made in the next 36 hours, it cannot be rushed. Trump has been saying that he has been deliberating for these last weeks for the mentioned finalists but now. he cannot act like he is in a Baskin Robbins shop and cannot decide on a flavor. Each "nominee" has pros and cons, all to be considered. However, Trump does not have the reputation for indecision.


People have spent the last days looking at President Biden and how he has been in public. Now, about to supersede Mr. Biden will be the Trump choice for Vice President. The choice will also be seen by those who will be interacting with any Trump Administration because the team will be complete and can go forward with a united message.


So, please decide, (former) Mr. President. The suspense has been killing people !

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
