As artificial intelligence is increasingly progressing, concepts such as "machine language," how the computer in question reads the "ones and zeros" in any AI infrastructure. The idea is advanced and only experts in air-conditioned data centers, some that could be even nuclear powered, the future, assuming AI does not run amuck, like The Matrix et al, the future could be bright.


But, what of the Democrati's Machine ? As has been mentioned, the GOP Convention has been a brilliant affair with a near martyr status for the Nominee. The Nominee for Vice President, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) will accept his Nomination this evening. Democrat disarray, on the other hand, has also been noted. There has been rush to place the President in Nomination next week, before the Convention in Chicago.


That being said, what the Democrat Party is very good at is matching voters to ballot boxes. There is a readymade supply that combines early voting, mail in ballots, and of course, harvesting, This operation generally goes ahead regardless of whom the Candidate might be or what his current disposition might be. There is concern that Biden remaining in the race could have a depressing effect on Democrat down ballot races. That concern might not be unwarranted.


If Donald Trump looks like he might win, it quite possible that Democrats, as a foil to the Republican's success by spotting their vote. That is apparently happening in the Nevada Senate race where the Republican is trailing the Democrat. And it the opinion here that Republicans will lose the House altogether. But Biden is still an engaged Democrat.


Biden wants to now pack the Supreme Court, He is in favor of nationwide rent control. These are traditional leftist fare. But the ultimate goal is to have more votes than Trump has garnered when it is all said and done. Democrats, in the end do have a motivating factor. Democrats might or might not like President Biden and his current status. But they absolutely HATE Donald Trump.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
