A Seattle grunge band, Alice N' Chains had this song, "No Excuses That I Know" and that now applies to the Trump campaign and the various talking heads, mostly on Fox News, that played down the former President's debate performance. Trump has been compromised. he has lost an edge in both Georgia and North Carolina. Last time he won Tar Heel State but lost the Peach. Now he is behind in both and Vice President Harris is surging. The debate is proving fatal to Trump.


There is no need at this point for a second debate. Harris has been improving and it has been recommended that the Vice President limit media exposure as she is no longer in need. There is some question as to whether Trump will agree to another contest but as he was taken advantage by ABC and the Vice President, and he allowed it to happen.


How does Trump recover ? He and his campaign have been outmaneuvered by Democrats since President Biden was tossed. Harris now has to be the favorite. But it will not be just Harris, How many down-ballot Republican races are at risk because of the debate ? Things are coming full circle. It had been the debate in July un-did Joe Biden. It is becoming increasingly likely that the September 10th debate was the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.


In the event of the Harris Victory. It has been a cliché that the last few cycles have been the most important in history. That might be true this more than others. If Harris goes to the White House and reverts to form, and she bans fracking, keeps the border open and ends private health insurance and all her other ideas (like the Green New Deal).


It could be an added bonus if she sweeps and her down ballot races, especially in the Senate where the filibuster will be eliminated, the Supreme Court would be expanded to conform to ideological preference and the promised two new states and four new Democrat Senators apiece.


Therefore, the consequences of Trump losing, and he did, the prospects of a Harris Administration become more realistic. There might still be fifty-some-odd days remaining and there is the other debate but at this point, Trump' chances of prevailing there are problematic. Over the next weeks, the Trump campaign will offer excuses for this turn of events. Explaining how one with a twenty-point lead at one point watched that advantage evaporate.


The former President will be sentenced at the end of November. If he will not be going to the White House, he could be going to prison. Because Vice President Harris won her debate,

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo.
