The media inspired honeymoon for Vice President Kamala Harris has come to an end. The whole affair had been a house of cards that finally collapsed. Twenty-nine percent of voters do not know Harris and where she stands in the end, where only nine percent are still curious about Donald Trump. To rectify the situation, the Harris Campaign has finally set up its website. The website breaks Harris and her vice-presidential running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’ policy proposals into four sections: "Build an Opportunity Economy and Lower Costs for Families," "Safeguard Our Fundamental Freedoms," "Ensure Safety and Justice For All," and "Keep America Safe, Secure, and Prosperous."


Meaning what ? Like any of these "prescriptions" have any specifics. It has been fifty days and only now have Harris and Co. put something online. And the result is more sizzle than steak. The big test will be tomorrow in Philadelphia against Trump and will she have to confine her answers to "opportunity economy, lower costs, safe-guarding freedoms, ensuring safety, justice, and safe secure and prosperous ?" If that will be the limit of her responses, if she cannot go beyond that tomorrow, it will be a good night for Trump.


That being said, tomorrow night can be no coast for Donald Trump. The first match-up with then Vice President Joe Biden in 2020 did not necessarily go well and was considered one of the factors for his eventual defeat that November. Against Vice President Harris, Trump will have to be disciplined. He has his policies; people will need to define hers. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has been saying that Harris still a socialist and is only adopting moderation in  order to be elected.


This debate will be critical for both campaigns, perhaps for Harris more than Trump. Harris has to do well whereas Trump has to avoid doing poorly, to avoid being reactive to Harris' provocations. Trump has to look Presidential, whereas Harris, though Harris has only been Vice President.


Harris' true quality will be revealed in Philadelphia. It was not so long ago when a Harris Presidency was considered a liability to the Biden Administration. Now she is tied or just losing to Trump. The picture is at a before and after. Before the debate and after the debate. Come Wednesday morning, what will be the state of the race ?

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo.
