In a classic case of "wag the dog," Houthi positions in Yemen were struck by B-2 Spirit bombers. In a related story, Israel has apparently killed the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, the one who masterminded the October 7th in the first place. And, it is still at this point that the Biden Administration, including Vice President Harris, are urging Israel to look for a cease fire. Hostages remain in Hamas custody.


Speaking of the Vice President, she made an appearance on Fox News in interview with Special Report anchor Bret Baire. By accounts, it could have gone better. Baire was the first interview for Harris that was not in a friendly environment. His questions were pointed but Harris equivocated throughout. She would not take responsibility for the border. She offered nothing new on the economy and did not distance herself from President Biden and that Harris denied that she was aware of Biden's problems, insisting President Biden was okay, until he wasn't, and Donald Trump is a real threat to democracy.


The original theory of the Harris campaign was she could assume the mantle from President Biden and, with a friendly media, counting on public ignorance and hatred of former President Trump, would catapult Harris into the White House. Like President Biden, who spent 2020 in his basement, and won, if Harris could have been kept with friendly media, but that strategy could only go so far. It had been a consequence of the last weeks that the Vice President spent the better part of the months since Biden's departure without an interview . So, Harris visited Charlamagne Da God, making inquiries about the border. Then Harris went to see Bret Baire.


Now that the Vice President has some exposure, and it is having an effect. The so-called Blue Wall states, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania has eroding support for Harris. If that is indeed the case and Trump is winning across all three, the respective Senate races could flip to the GOP. And, if Trump has coat tails of this magnitude, Republicans could perhaps also save the House.


Donald Trump will be in New York City this evening to attend the Al Smith Dinner. As mentioned, it is a Catholic charity and every year, Democrat and Republican Nominees attend the dinner and trade barbs. To do this well, one must have a sense of humor and the ability to be self-deprecating. That is Donald Trump. That is probably not Kamala Harris. If she could not handle Bret Baire, how would she handle the Al Smith where could bomb worse than any comedian.


The Harris run was something that could not be exposed to light. That it was, that it had to be, reveals a lack of substance. That obviously contradicts previous predictions, including here, of her winning. Her campaign had no substance because it didn't need any. But when she was compelled to speak publicly, to work without a net, she apparently could not manage.

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836.
