Closing Argument
(Closing Argument)
If one were to listen to the desperate pleas from Democrats and the media on the dangers of a Trump return to Office, hyperbole knows no bounds. Trump is a facist. He is Hitler. He wants Hitler type generals. Former Secretary Clinton, known for her "deplorable" comment from the 2016 Campaign and has now compared to the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden set for Sunday and how she is reminded of a Nazi Party at the same venue in 1939.
Mirroring the Clinton remarks is Vice President Harris and running mate Walz. In the terminal phase to this Campaign there is the attempted narrative that horrible things will be happening to Trump's "enemies." He plans to incarcerate if not execute his enemies. His actions will make January 6th look pedestrian at best. He will be a dictator.
Or he could be a hero, if only for one day. The hit from David Bowie reflects how out of context Trump critics sees the former President. That being said, no one really believes that Trump will be the threat he has been made out to be. Trump is not going to jail the on-air or periodical "talent" or any troublesome Democrats. Why would he ? Sitting back in the Oval Office behind that desk he could observe all his Domain and all those he out-maneuvered to return to "back where it started."
The World Series between the Dodgers and the Yankees kicks off tonight. However, how many teams fell during the Post-Season before the Fall Classic commences ? Major League Baseball has been a good analogy for a Club that started Opening Day and dropped the first few games and were dropped to the bottom of the Standings. But, like the movie Major League, the Cleveland Indians' new owner assembled a team so bad that she thought would finish last so she could move the Club to Miami. Upon learning the "plot," the team went on to win 32 more wins and beat the Yankees for the AFC East Pennant.
Donald Trump was like the Indians when he last left the White House. Then, like in the movie, he has gone 32-0 to get where he is now. That includes the lawfare, the ballot removal attempts, the indictments, the 34-count guilty verdict and at least the Jack Smith case is the only one with any remaining viability. And, the former President has survived two assassination.
A lot of people will be un-happy with a Trump win. That is the bad news. However, perhaps the good news is that they could be collectively miserable while living a long life.
