HIS People. . .
(HIS People. . .)
Usually, when someone capitalizes that pronoun, it could be a reference to the Christ. Not today. "HIS" in this case is about Doanld Trump, a far cry from Jesus, up to and including being the Antichrist, at least according to some people. Today is less eschatological, however and more perhaps of an emerging species of the Trump voter. The opportunities offered Vice President Harris have been squandered where her exposure to "honest" media compromised her own attempted basement strategy, laying low and have the Democrat "machine" put her in Office in the same manner with which they had installed President Biden.
North Carolina is a swing state. It was also devastated a few weeks ago after Hurricane Helene, the western counties, the Republican dominated counties, are still recovering and there is an open question as to the voters can cast a ballot by Election Day ? Even with all that is before the Tar Heel State, Trump is expected to carry North Carolina, in part due to Helene's recovery.
It is not just in North Carolina. Trump is making McDonald's French fries today, to claim that he worked at the fast-food restaurant for real in contrast the Vice President's assertion that she had once done the same, but she hadn't. Trump got the endorsement of the Steel Workers' Union even giving him his own hard hat. Sometime tomorrow, the former President will be at a Bronx barber shop. In a few days, Trump will hold a rally at Madison Square Garden.
It is a question of why Kamala Harris has been seeking support from the elites where Trump has been associating with the more so-called blue collar. It is no accident that the steel union because Donald Trump has hung tons of steel. And pipe fitters. And H/VAC. And everything else that would go into a Trump skyscraper. A lot of those trades people are still around and now that a Trump victory is becoming increasingly possible.
The former President is still head of the Trump Organization and he is still a businessman. Don Jr and Eric as Executive Vice Presidents run the day to day of the company. If Trump is elected and completes his Term, he could retire. General George Washington could have retired to Mount Vernon at the end of the War of the American Revolution but no. He wanted to be President/
