President-Elect Donald Trump had only won last Tuesday but already there have been discernable changes that will make a difference in the up-coming Administration. Trump's promises on immigration and energy, the relationship with China and so on. As the President-Elect is the opposite of President Biden, and there has been experience as to what to expect, as well as Trump's statements themselves, certain actions are being taken in anticipation as to what will happen after January 20th of next year.


An image of the self-inflicted Biden border crisis were the various caravans that marched north or had been flown in from other locations, over the last few years, having deposited some several million illegal aliens across the country. Trump has said he will organize the largest deportation of these people once he is Sworn in. In that expectation, the latest caravan is dispersing, miles before the U.S. Border. Trump has also said that the "remain in Mexico" policy will also be re-instated and he will be holding Mexico City responsible. Trump has also said he would be harsher with Mexican Cartels. And finally, Trump will finish the Wall.


One of the highlights of the Trump Campaign had been his "Drill Baby Drill." What had been the "War on Fossil Fuels" under President Biden, a President Trump would squeeze juice from a turnip if it contributed to American energy dominance. A part of that is the export of liquid natural gas. Pennsylvania and its fracking issue was a factor in Trump winning the Keystone State. Additional pipelines will have to be constructed to carry product to export terminals. And, said product will be going to Europe, who changed from getting it from Russia.


Under the new Trump Administration, the Peoples' Republic of China could be subject to Trump's tariffs. Looking ahead, the Steve Madden Shoe Brand is preparing to move its operations out of China. Sino-Anglo economic ties will be a focus in the new Administration and Trade and who Trump appoints as Treasury Secretary and Trade Representative will figure prominently.


The terror group Hamas has lost its support from Qatar. Iran is looking to endure another "maximum pressure" campaign of oil embargo and other sanctions imposed on Tehran. Whatever nuclear deal remains is also now defunct. Both Arab states can now be incorporated in an Abraham Accords framework, and that could put the region at some stability.


Donald Trump is like a businessman who went to jail for four years and when he returns, he finds his bed has been slept in, someone has been sampling his scotch (though Trump does not drink) and has been smoking his cigars. Now that he is coming back, all that will have to be cleaned up.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
