One remembers the stories. There were enough votes. Mail in ballots were still being counted. Votes had been harvested. The totals were not favorable. But he still won. He had to. That result that had been read-election night had to hold. But totals gradually shifted till the other guy prevailed. Not President-Elect Trump. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) who lost his race to Republican Dave McCormack.


Like Trump in 2020, getting to the point where he was charged in Geogia by attempting to change the an Eleccion's outcome, so is the same situation with Casey. Several Democrat Counties in the Keystone State are starting their own re-count, using previously discarded ballots. The main problem is a matter of in-correctly applied signatures. Those votes could have been for Casey and in the over-all margin, McCormack's win could be reversed and that would diminish the GOP Senate Majority.


McCormack had been declared Pennsylvania's new Senator by the AP. Any votes that might have been outstanding were all through GOP counties So, to make up the difference, Casey and his Democrat officials are ordering a re-count of dis-qualified ballots. Trump tried that, having his legal team gathering as many outstanding ballots as could be determined. States fell in succession as Biden surged. States fell and were called for the now out-going President.


Does Casey believe that ? As it was difficult for President Trump to accept the end of Trump 1, can Casey come to terms with Trump 2 that gave coattails to Senator-Elect McCormack. Reversing what had been the will of Pennsylvania voter ? Will he become an Election Denier just like Trump ? Is Casey looking to over-turn the certified result ?  A million dollars is being spent to organize the re-count.


Republican Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) has promised to not seat Casey unless he finally concedes. How many politicians have over the years when there is this close race or that. How long had the 2000 Re-count and the Court Cases then before Vice President Gore conceded to then Texas Governor George W. Bush ? It that case, the re-count in Florida Democrat Counties were halted by the Supreme Court.


And that game continues to be played. It seems fine when a Republican comes up short but when it is a Democrat, desperate to hold on to power ?

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
