Merged & Acquired ?
(Merged & Acquired ?)
In cooperate America, it's not un-common for certain corporations to pool their resources and combine them. When such a paring is seen as too large, the government steps in and halts such arrangement. The merging of Albertson's and Kroger or Spirit Airlines joining JetBlue. The Trump Administration might have other ideas but any such merging of grocers or discount airlines will pale in comparison to what the President-Elect might be considering with regards to Canada.
From Day One in the Trump transition, the President-Elect made clear that if Canada or Mexico do not do more to curb illegal immigration with fentanyl smuggling, Trump would impose a 25% tariff. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau made a trip to Palm Beach to discuss the relationship. AT this point, Trump called Trudeau "Governor of Canada the 51st State."
A lot of what Trump says is tongue-in-cheek but when it comes to annexing Canada or removing border constraints so Montanites can drive into Alberta or Saskatchewan as easily as driving into Idaho or North Dakota. According to Canadian businessman Kevin O'Leary, "Mr. Wonderful" and star of Shark Tank, he has been saying that he has been in discussions with Canadians and many are open to the concept.
The same with Greenland. The same with Panama. Not since President Jefferson and the Louisiana Purchase. That Territory added so much real estate and everything that came with it. The same will be true with Greenland. But Canada will be the money shot.
Finally, a word about former President Carter, who passed at the age of 100. While his own Administration was a hit or miss affair, as the 39th Chief Executive, he did service to his Country. As a former Head of State, it means that when the former President lies in State until ultimate internment, Trump will be there with former Presidents Clinton and Obama. What a picture/
