Apologies for the going dark. There had been an un-anticipated technical issue but it has been resolved.  Such absences can be in-convenient as events transpire without the ability to comment. Like what is with those drones ? Why is President Biden holding a fire-sale to off load Trump's border wall materials. Why is Biden still granting clemency ? On the other side, why are all the Big Tech and other CEO's engaging the President-Elect ? Former adversaries are now seeing Trump as a possible ally as the plans for de-regulation and the removal of other business impediments.


In the Laws of Navigation, ships passing each other operate on a "Green to Green" approach, meaning a starboard side passes a starboard side. However, the Biden Administration has been sailing "red to green," meaning port, or left side of the vessel. In other words, the Biden Administration is off course. Which explains the Administration's inability to determine the source of all the drones that have appeared in Northeastern and other skies.


The objects being observed might have running lights but beyond that not much is known. Could they be foreign ? Whatever but the point is that the Biden Administration is clueless as to what are these things ? With these "un-identified flying objects" or whatever term being utilized. For his part, Donald Trump seems willing to shoot one down and not have a repeat of the Chinese weather balloon fiasco from a few years ago.


An equal fiasco is Biden un-loading all the wall construction material at cut rate. It is being said that that the acres of steel that have been out in the desert sun for the last four years, The Trump Administration's stated goal is to complete the wall and the resistance from his predecessor accomplishes nothing, the wall will be built, and it will not matter if the current steel is used or something new is acquired. As it happens, Texas has said it will attempt to secure the material on its own. If it is going cheap, then the Lone Star State is well positioned.


Godzilla movies have become a dime a dozen. The classic or the re-make with Raymond Burr might be the standard but what Toho Studios was able to do was to release Godzilla, King of the Monsters, with Kyle Chandler and Ken Watanabe. Same characters, same plot, down to the Godzilla theme. In any event, Godzilla faced an old nemesis, King Ghidorah, three dragon-headed monster. At the end of the movie, Godzilla went super-critical and "consumed" Ghidorah. As the big lizard stood alone, other monsters arrayed around him bowed in respect.


Donald Trump is Godzilla and the various CEOs that are coming to visit are the monsters showing respect. The heads of Apple, Amazon, Google, Trump already has Musk. Previously antagonistic relationships are giving way to ways to cooperate. There is a common goal in that lower regulations reduce costs. Many of these heads are contributing a million dollars to Trump's Inauguration. The President-Elect also secured a $100 billion infusion from SoftBank.


In making all these statements, Biden and Trump are on opposite paths, one to create as much chaos as possible and the other acting like the Chief Executive before it is even January.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
