President Biden gave a "farewell" speech to the nation last night. The speech was about eighteen minutes in length and Biden laments throughout. He still thinks climate change is the same existential threat he was told it was. President Biden has been the focus of these Pages from Day One in 2021 and have been highly critical. Looking at Entries from that time, Biden several failures like with energy, the economy, immigration and so on.


But the greatest rebuke came over the abandoning of Afghanistan. Everything about the world today can be traced to that decision, The consequences were always going to be dire, but the President seemed to never be truly aware. In the news that Israel/Hamas have reached an "agreement" that includes some hostages release as early as this weekend. Predictably. Biden is taking credit for the development but when the reality of Trump threats being the likely cause, Biden asked if that was "a joke ?"


Four years ago, it was determined that Joe Biden ascended to the Presidency because of the combined efforts of the Big Three: Big Media, Big Money, and Big Tech. Facebook's Mark Zukerberg gave $400 million to Democrat voter motivation efforts. That was then. Now, Zuckerburg is donating $1 million to Trump's Inauguration and will even be a guest of President Trump. Biden now thinks these so-called "Big Tech," instrumental to his victory in 2020, oligarchical tendencies, who are now going to see President Trump.


Speaking of Big Tech, Biden seems disappointed that "fact checking" would no longer be available on some social media platforms. The President was always complaining about misinformation. That is a broad category because everything that contradicted the Presidential narrative, regardless of veracity,


That Joe Biden was elected in the first place is a remarkable occurrence. Like a plane crash, certain events have to take place, in order, for the event. Disrupt any piece of the sequence and the crash could be avoided. That did not happen for Joe Biden where a pandemic and election rule changes along with the Big Three and President Trump was defeated.


Over time, it became clear that the Presidency had been beyond Biden's capacity for some time. He was cast aside by necessity last year. President Joe Biden gave his closing argument last night. He seemed bitter and he is being ignored at the peril of others. In the end, Biden's speech is an indictment of the American people who did not recognize his greatness.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
