Tomorrow, tariffs could be applied to Canada and Mexico (petroleum possibly exempt). Remining Trump Cabinet picks are encountering more resistance from desperate Democrats. The President is offering early retirement for thousands in the federal work force. No one else would have this effect. As one who originates from the business world, President Trump is aware of the events and his part in shaping them.


It is not known if the President gambles aside from a dice throw at a craps table while he was in Vegas the other day (not known how he did). Does Trump play cards ? That is not necessarily known either but what can be clear is that the President does not bluff. On February 1st, 2025, a 25% tariff could be applied to Canada and Mexico. It is not immediately clear if oil would be excluded but the President has determined that Ottawa and Mexico City could be doing more to stem illegal crossings and fentanyl importation. Whether the tariff would have the desired effect of curbing these activities remains to be seen but this shows the President's willingness to employ these tactics and the nations in question have until midnight to assure the President of their efforts.


Fireworks in Washington D.C. are usually held for the Fourth of July but there were plenty of explosions that were set off as vengeful Democrats on the various Confirming Committees grilled Patel, Kennedy, and Gabbard in a hysterical display of desperate attempt to derail these Nominations because if they get confirmed, aside from implementing Trump's Agenda, they would be complete independence which is an un-comfortable thought for some. Like Senator Bill Cassidy who says he is hesitant to vote for Kennedy Jr. for HHS. There would appear that Tulsi Gabbard also does not have universal GOP support but all those Legislators are missing the broader point. These are the President's picks and, as Vice President Vance has reminded the Republican Senators in question that if they do not cooperate, the President could take it personally. Remember he has the Mandate as he endlessly tells people.


As a businessman who has developed a and managed commercial properties throughout his real estate career, and he has even gone bankrupt twice. Now, the Federal Government is bankrupt and he is offering severage packages for those who want to move on. The decision point is the sixth of next month and those who opt out of public service will still be paid through September. A significant portion of the federal workforce, some two-hundred thousand, is expected to engage the offer.


It has been just over a week and President Trump has had every indication that this has been a hostile take-over. He has been giving heartburn that even tons of antacids could not cure, Meaning he perhaps is doing things right.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
