One thing that is true of the Trump Administration is that there is never a dull moment. And the President is entertaining. Who else would see the devasted Gaza Strip and return to developer roots and sees the real estate potential. Trump has a point. He is calling Gaza the "Riviera of the Near East." As a consequence, Trump announced in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that the U.S. would take over the territory. What in the end happens to Hamas ? How might the terror group re-constitute and continue the struggle against the Jewish state. Does that all stop as Trump has all the rubble cleared, Gaza Palestinians are placed in neighboring countries at the President's insistence. Like when a house gets renovated, the residents invariably have to re-locate. Think of this as a reverse Babylonian Exile


At some point, an American Flag will be planted on Gazan territory. Such an action will preclude any action from Hamas, Hezbollah, and limits options Iran might have. Indeed, it is the Islamic Republic that has been warned by President Trump to not try to assassinate him and that Tehran will not be a nuclear power regardless of how far they might have enriched any fissile material. The Islamic regime in Tehran has therefore been put on notice. Trump energy policy which is being geared to increase oil production and causing prices to deflate which in turn affects Iran's economy. The misadventures around Israel over the last year and the loss Hamas, Hezbollah, if not Syria itself, has depleted the Iranian Treasury. With the application of new tariffs on Iran, the regime could become bankrupt. Tehran is then encouraged to cooperate with Washington.


The next Maximum Pressure Campaign will be directed at the Republican Congress. As the House has stalled with continuing obstruction of House conservatives, the Republican Senate, with technically a "bigger" Majority. The Senate is opting for the two-track solution as proposed by Budget Chairman Lindsey Graham. This obviously upstages them House but if they had been able to act on schedule, like voting on their own Bill. Someone had to take charge and if there is any adjustment to be made now would be to advance the tax reform in the "first" package.


While is this conversation even taking place ? What is DOGE doing if not providing the exact spending cuts that the House Freedom Caucus about which has been complaining ? But the process is now advancing and if Reconciliation between the two Chambers can be achieved and add to the President's 100 Day agenda.


So, with Iran and Congressional Republicans on notice that the President is in charge. And, who knows ? In ten or fifteen years, people might be able to book a room at Trump International, Gaza.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
