Of all the legions of political consultants that advise of any number of issues, a unified message is one of the most important. Previous so-called messages when Democrats try to use them against President Trump have all failed. Russia collusion.? What was that ? The Stormy Danials pay-off ? What happened there ? The 34 charges of book-keeping charges of which President Trump was found guilty on al counts. In addition, Trump is Hitler. The President is a threat to Democracy. 


And yet, the President is back in Office, defeating every attempt against him. A new talking point was needed. Trump recruited a co-conspirator in DOGE, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk who needed a hobby, Trump put in charge of Department of Government Efficiency, a contradiction in terms in the first place. In other words, Musk is in charge of finding government waste and force its elimination.


What would be the Democrat response ? Again, speaking collectively, the new catch phrase is the Musk-Trump partnership is un-Constitutional. In appearance after appearance, Democrats take to podiums and complain, that Musk, who is having an effect in cutting spending and making Democrats exceedingly nervous. Whilc they Langer in the Wilderness, their only measure is rhetoric, as in-effective as it is.


In the long run, however, Democrats will need to move beyond talking and move the pendulum back off the left. Democrats cannot depend on the possibility of a GOP implosion over passing the Trump tax cuts, past, present if not future. Democrats' best chance is if that implosion takes place, and taxes go up, people are likely to hold Republicans responsible and vote out Republicans.


However, that is not automatic good news for Democrats. If two years pass and the tax package gets delayed with consequences, if Democrats cannot formulate a policy of their own, will the GOP face the same situation as in other traditional Mid-Terms and lose seats ? Republicans at least have a plan and it will be incumbent to organize and pass it. If that happens, and President Trump is able to sign the finished product into law, all Democrats can do is complain. They can call it a Constitutional crisis. The latest talking point.

Keeping The Faith ?

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. The U.S. was able to fund the rest of the War off of that drive but the Marines in question did not fare well. Siege Of The Alamo

(Siege Of The Alamo) Any visitor to Downtown San Antonio will recognize the City's most famous landmark, the Alamo. An old Spanish mission that means "Cottonwood" in English was the site where the likes of Jim Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Davy Crockett and about another 185 Texians defended the Mission and its compound for thirteen days against the Army of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana and his 5,000 troops. The garrison was finally reduced on March 6, 1836. However, the Texian defeat at the Alamo and another one at Goliad, bought time for General Sam Houston time to fall back and then face Santa Ana at San Jacinto. There, Houston's army surprised the Mexicans and yelling "Remember the Alamo, Remember Goliad !" all but wiped out the Mexican force.
