The Right to Vote is a Constitutional guarantee. That does not necessarily mean that all those eligible should actually go and pull a lever. People who watch the news. People that monitor political podcasts. People who know the issues and when a choice of candidate is selected, it is nor some boob that one gets off the streets.


Like all those protesting Musk and Trump. They do not seem to be those who impress. Any idiot could compare the two men to Hitler and that is what one has one the street. What is the reason ? Musk is attempting to slash government spending and because of that he has to be so savaged ? He and Trump ?


Fault not in the stars but in themselves ? Either man could be revealed as the Second Coming and there would still be these protests would continue. For the sake of protesting. That is not a sign of sophistication or finesse, It is a blunt instrument and is unwieldly. It is a virtue signal alone and has no broad based appeal.


However, a lot of people find both the President and Elon Musk and their policies quite appealing. As Trump will say it, he won all swing states and the popular vote. He assigned Musk DOGE the worse he could do is succeed. That fact alone demonstrates the ignorance of the whole anti-Tesla efforts because, in the end, they are protesting what would be a good thing in most circles. The anti-Musk is also anti-DOGE. How smart is that ?


Is this a case of free speech ? Sure. Along with the Constitutionally guaranteed right to vote, there is an equal right to go out and be on camera and look like complete asses. They can all hold signs and whatever. The issue of what funds these activities has been addressed to a point. While the current mantra might be "resist," go out and protest Tesla no argument being offered has any broad appeal.


In the final analysis, Musk and Trump will be going forward independent of how many Tesla cars get burned or Tesla dealerships broken up, no measurable effect on DOGE reductions will materialize. That would make sense if one had a better education.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. Prime Garbage ?

(Prime Garbage ?) In the movie Down & Out in Beverly Hills , starring Nick Nolte and Richard Dreyfus, Nolte plays a Beverly Hills bum who gets taken in by Dreyfus' family. Things did not quite work out Nolte went back to the street but he wanted to take the family dog, Nolte was rummaging through some trash and telling the dog this was "prime garbage." For his part, the dog changed his mind and went back to the Dreyfus family. During the Trump event at Madison Square Garden, an opening act comedian made some remark disparaging Puerto Rico, calling it a "island of garbage." Naturally the media went to work, saying it could depress the Puerto Rican vote, especially in Pennsylvania. Then, the Island "Senator" came out and endorsed Trump.
