The latest incarnation of The Joe Schmo Show ran its season finale last night. Basically, and this has been done before, some individual and he or she play a series of contests in the belief that a grand prize can be won. With this caveat. The Joe Schmo Show is fake. Aside from the "mark," all other contestants are actors. At the end of the show, it gets revealed to the mark, in this case it was an electrician from Baltimore named 'The Greatest of All Time" a fictional international contest. When it was revealed that show was fake, and all the other players were indeed actors, fun was had by all and Ben walked away with $200,000.


Houthi targets have been struck over the weekend and damage has been re-ported. Houthis were killed and infrastructure has been destroyed but like The Joe Schmo Show, reactions have been fake or more specifically it is faux outrage over Democrat hysteria as to who was and who was not on that SIGNAL communique. Listening to Democrats, this "leak" is the worst intelligence failure since September 11th. The entire Security apparatus of the Trump Administration including Secretary of Defense, DCI and DNI should all reign,


As if on cue, John Ratcliffe from CIA and Ms. Gabard from DNI are being paraded before a Congressional. Committee where accusatory Democrats are leveling charges at those testifying. Gabard and Radcliffe are there to brief the Legislators on real threats like China or Iran. Whatever information is revealed by the President's Security principals the money shot for Committee Democrats is what happened in that SIGNAL chat.


Is this the extent of Democrat influence, pushing a leak as the end of the Trump Administration ? So, compromising one of its most critical functions as National Security ? Because a wrong person was copied on a sensitive list ? One can be assured that any leak that might have materialized in this case will be sealed in future instances. The use of SIGNAL itself could be limited.


Even these measures will have little effect on Administration critics, but this episode can be instructive.  While no long-term damage took place and nothing was not open book in this case, the hostile media cannot have access and draw their own conclusions. In the end, one can see if it is real ? Or one could just be a Schmo.

(Keeping The Faith ?) Happy Memorial Day ! This is the day when the nation pauses and recognizes the contributions of the men and women that strove, and often times perished in the defense of this country. How many campaigns and battles have been seen over the years with Americans in harms way. Theirs was not a pursuit of glory, necessarily but they are remembered as such. As an example, take the Joe Rosenthal photo of the "Iwo Jima Flag-raising," February 23rd, 1945. Most people know what that is and not a few have a copy on their wall. Three of those Marines survived Iwo Jima and went on a bond tour to promote that picture. Prime Garbage ?

(Prime Garbage ?) In the movie Down & Out in Beverly Hills , starring Nick Nolte and Richard Dreyfus, Nolte plays a Beverly Hills bum who gets taken in by Dreyfus' family. Things did not quite work out Nolte went back to the street but he wanted to take the family dog, Nolte was rummaging through some trash and telling the dog this was "prime garbage." For his part, the dog changed his mind and went back to the Dreyfus family. During the Trump event at Madison Square Garden, an opening act comedian made some remark disparaging Puerto Rico, calling it a "island of garbage." Naturally the media went to work, saying it could depress the Puerto Rican vote, especially in Pennsylvania. Then, the Island "Senator" came out and endorsed Trump.
